Ex-Bulldog Smith Named All-Arena

FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. - Georgia Force offensive and defensive lineman Jermaine Smith, a former Georgia standout, has been named to the Arena Football League's All-Arena First Team.

Smith has been named All-Arena three times, including each of the last two seasons. He posted 16.5 tackles, six sacks, three quarterback hurries, two forced fumbles, three blocked kicks and a safety in 16 games. Smith's six sacks surpassed his previous club previous record of 5.5. He is the Force's career sacks leader with 12.5 and games played with 45.

Smith played at Georgia in 1995 and 1996 after beginning his college career at Georgia Military. In two years with the Bulldogs, Smith had 111 tackles, 3.5 sacks, 14 tackles for loss and four fumble recoveries. He played four seasons with Green Bay in the NFL, then played for Las Vegas in the XFL. He has played with both Georgia and Orlando in the AFL.
