Six Bulldogs Earn All-SEC Recognition

ATHENS -- Six University of Georgia football players have been named to The Sporting News pre-season All-SEC first team and two more to the second team.
The publication also named senior defensive end Quentin Moses the league's Defensive Player of the Year. Moses was second in the SEC in 2005 with 11.5 sacks and 20.5 TFLs and is currently sixth on Georgia's list of career sacks with 20.5.
The first-team awards include S Tra Battle, PK Brandon Coutu, OT Daniel Inman, C Nick Jones, TE Martrez Milner and Moses. P Gordon Ely-Kelso and LB Tony Taylor made their way onto the second team.
Georgia's six first-team selections lead all teams.
In rankings to be included in The Sporting News National College Football Yearbook, Moses is listed as the nation's No. 1 defensive end, Coutu the nation's No. 3 kicker, Battle the No. 4 strong safety and Ely-Kelso the No. 4 punter.
