ATHENS, Ga. --- Chirssy Owens threw six innings of one-hit ball and Brittany Rogers was 4-for-4 as Alabama knocked off Ole Miss 6-0 in the first round of the SEC Softball Tournament on Thursday.

Owens struck out seven while improving her record to 19-4 on the year.

"With Chrissy out there it's almost a given. She's one of the reasons we won the SEC this year. She owned everyone in the conference, pretty much, and we feel confident with her out there," said Alabama head coach Patrick Murphy.

The Crimson Tide (49-8) scored in all but one inning with solo runs in the first, second, third and sixth, and two runs in the fifth. Alabama's two-run fifth included RBIs from Dominique Accetturo and Kelley Montalvo.

Staci Ramsey and Dani Woods also contributed RBIs in the earlier frames.

Ole Miss falls to 24-36 overall.

Alabama will meet Tennessee in the semifinals on Friday at 1 p.m.
