Georgia Bulldogs (18-9, 3-6 SEC)

Bulldog Notes:
Georgia (18-9, 3-6 SEC) returns to action Tuesday at Foley Field when it plays host to Gardner Webb (14-13) at 6:30 p.m. Then, the Bulldogs embark on a seven-game roadtrip against nationally-ranked opponents in Miss. State, Ga. Tech and Vanderbilt over the next two weeks. The Bulldogs are 6-2 against top 25 ranked teams this season.

Georgia looks to snap a four-game losing streak after dropping their second SEC series at home of the season this past weekend. Georgia fell to 3-6 in league play as the Bulldogs were swept by Ole Miss. Georgia opened league play with Alabama and the Crimson Tide won two of three in Athens. Then, the Bulldogs won their first-ever series at Arkansas 2-1. Alabama is currently 22-9 and leading the SEC West at 7-2 while Arkansas is 23-6 overall, 4-5 in the SEC. Miss. State (22-3, 5-3 SEC) was ranked as high as number one last week. New rankings are released Monday evening.

Series History:
Georgia trails Gardner Webb 3-2. The first meeting came in 2002 when the Bulldog squads split a two-game series at Foley Field. The last series came to open the 2003 season in Athens and Gardner-Webb took two of three. Meanwhile, Georgia swept Miss. State in its last visit to Starkville in 2004. Last season in Athens, Georgia won the series over MSU 2-1 while MSU owns a 33-27 edge in the overall series.

Bulldog Reunion:
Georgia coach David Perno is 8-5 all-time against MSU and head coach Ron Polk, who spent two years directing Georgia (2000-01) before returning to Starkville. Perno served as assistant on Polk's staff at UGA before being elevated to the top post.
