December 19, 1964 - The Bulldogs christen their new arena, the Georgia Coliseum, with a 79-66 win over intrastate rival Georgia Tech, played before an overflow crowd of 13,200. Ray Jefford pulled down 19 rebounds to help lead the team to vicory.

December 19, 2003 - Damon Evans named to succeed Vince Dooley as Director of Athletics beginning July 1, 2004.

December 19, 2003 - David Pollack named recipient of the Ted Hendricks Award as the nation's outstanding defensive end.
