November 27, 1976 - Allen Leavitt's 33-yard kick with 0:05 to go gave Georgia a 13-10 victory over Georgia Tech. The game-winner was set up by a key fumble recovery by the "Junkyard Dogs" defense.
November 27, 1981 - In her first collegiate basketball game, basketball legend and four time All-American, Janet Harris, scored 39 points in a 83-82 loss to Vandy.
November 27, 1995 - UGA men's basketball team beat Georgia Southern, 88-44, in the opening game of the season. This was Tubby Smith's first win as the UGA men's basketball coach.
