ATHENS, Ga. --- The Georgia Bulldogs held a 90-minute workout Wednesday as they continued preparations for their regular season finale against 16th-ranked Georgia Tech.
Georgia head coach Mark Richt said the Bulldogs had a productive day and welcomed the spring-like conditions.
“We went in shorts today and had nice weather compared to the last two days,” said Richt. “I thought we threw the ball well and caught it well too.”
Richt added that several Bulldogs, who have battled various ailments of late, looked good in practice. He mentioned junior running backs Danny Ware and Kregg Lumpkin, senior offensive lineman Michael Turner and senior split end Mario Raley were ready to go.
When talk turned to Georgia’s improved efficiency in the “Red Zone” this year, Richt said it certainly feels like it has been better.
“We’re practicing the same and preparing the same, we’re just executing better,” said Richt. “When you analyze it or look at the film, it all comes back to everybody doing their job, and we are doing a good job of execution.”
Saturday’s kickoff is scheduled for 3:34 p.m., and the game will be televised nationally by CBS. All Georgia games are broadcast live on the Bulldog Radio Network on AM 750 WSB in Atlanta and both 106.1 FM and 960 The Ref in Athens. Also, they can be heard on georgiadogs.com, the official website of UGA Athletics.
