November 16, 1968 - #5 UGA football team rumbled past the #12 Auburn Tigers to become champions of the SEC. November 16, 1996 - Trailing Auburn 28-7 on the road in the third quarter, Georgia rallied to send the game to overtime as Mike Bobo hit Corey Allen just over the goal line on the last play of regulation. The Bulldogs then outlasted the Tigers to win 56-49 in four overtime periods.

November 16, 2002 - Coach Richt and the Georgia Bulldogs defeated Auburn, 24-21, to win the Southeastern Conference Eastern Division and place them in their first ever SEC Championship game. David Greene found Michael Johnson in the back of the end zone with 1:25 left in the game on a fourth and 15 from the Tiger 19 yard line. The win would propel the Bulldogs to a 13-1 record, a Southeastern Conference Championship, a Sugar Bowl Victory over Florida State, and its best season since 1982 when the Bulldogs last captured the SEC Title.
