John Isner of the Georgia men's tennis team wins the ITA All-American Championship in Tulsa, Okla., defeating Lars Poerschke of Baylor in the finals, 7-6 (4), 7-6 (3).

October 9, 1993 - Eric Zeier set the Georgia and SEC records with 544 yards passing as Georgia routed Southern Miss 54-24 in Athens.  Zeier also established school standards for attempts, completions, touchdown passes and total offense in a game, and Brice Hunter tallied 10 catches for 179 yards.

October 9, 1982 - The UGA defensive racked up 7 interceptions and Herschel Walker added 3 TD’s to lead the UGA football team over Ole Miss, 33-10. <br>
