October 7, 1961 - Bill McKenney's two-yard run with 6:49 remaining gave Georgia a 17-14 win over South Carolina.
October 7, 2000- Georgia defeated Tennessee 21-10, in Sanford stadium, after a nine game losing streak in 12 years. The win was not only Coach Jim Donnan's 100th win in his coaching career but is also was the first time that the goal posts were torn down by the fans in the celebration of the field's history.. Fans swarmed onto the field with more than a minute left in the game.
