October 5, 1968 - Trailing South Carolina, 20-14, Mike Cavan threw a 15-yard TD pass to Kent Lawrence with 7:05 remaining to give the UGA football team the lead for good. The game ended in a 21-20 win for the Dawgs.

October 5, 1991
The UGA football team shocked #6 ranked Clemson Tigers in the first night game in Athens since 1985. Freshman quarterback, Eric Zeier walked over the #1 defense in the nation. He finished with 249 yards passing, including a 59-yard bomb to Arthur Marshall. The Dawgs went on win 27-17.

October 5, 2002 - Coach Mark Richt did something Wally Butts didn't do, Vince Dooley didn't do, and Ray Goff didn't do....take a Georgia team to Tuscaloosa, Alabama and win. Billy Bennett hit a 32 yard field goal with 38 seconds remaining in the game to give Georgia a 27-25
