October 29, 1966 - Speedster Kent Lawrence scored two touchdowns, including a 37-yard jaunt, as Georgia routed North Carolina 28-3 in Athens. All-SEC defensive end Larry Kohn broke the game open with a 62-yard interception return for a TD.

October 29, 2001 - Brandon Wagner topped Tennessee's Mario Toledo in three sets to win the 2001 Omni Hotels Regional Championships and automatically qualified for the 2001 National Indoor Championships in Dallas.
