October 28, 1978 - UGA football team fought hard against Kentucky to pull off one of the school’s greatest comebacks ever. Down 16-0 midway in the third quarter, the Dawgs got a huge wake-up call. The Dawgs rallied off 17 straight points including Rex Robinson's "Yeah!, Yeah!, Yeah!" 29 yard field goal to win the game, 17-16.

October 28, 1984 - Tennis star, Mikael Pernfors won the Volvo All-American Championships single title to become the first player ever to win both the Volvo All American and the NCAA singles title.

October 28, 2006 - Georgia cross country had four runners - Ian Burrell, Jill Steffens, Kristin Heffelfinger, Natalie Picchetti - earn All-SEC honors at the SEC Championships in Baton Rouge. Also, the Lady Bulldogs came away with a second-place finish at the conference meet.
