October 26, 1946 - Johnny Griffith set record for longest TD run with 89-yarder vs. Furman. The record stood until tied by Tim Worley vs. Florida in 1985.

October 26, 1968 - An All- American performance by Jake Scott lead the UGA football team to an impressive 35-14 victory over Kentucky. Scott was outstanding as he intercepted two passes and returned a punt for 36 yards.

October 26, 2001- Georgia swimming coach Jack Bauerle recorded his 300th career dual meet victory with a 152.5-150.5 Lady Bulldog victory at California-Berkeley.

October 26, 2003- Women's golf team shoots 864 to equal school record for best 54-hole score in winning Lady Paladin Invitational. 

Oct. 26, 2008- Georgia volleyball teams defeats Florida, 3-2, to snap 45-game losing streak to the Gators dating back to 1990.
