Georgia women's cross country team broke into the nation's top 20 teams, according to the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) poll released on Oct. 16. The Lady Bulldogs, who placed 10th at the NCAA Pre-Nationals Invitational in Terre Haute, Ind., on Oct. 14, are ranked No. 20 in the latest poll and are now preparing for the Southeastern Conference Championships in Baton Rouge on Oct. 28. The Georgia volleyball team entered into the winning column in Southeastern Conference play after beating Mississippi State 3-2 on Oct. 13. Junior Chelsea Young led the Bulldogs with a season-high 48 assists and 12 digs and freshman Josefine Ehmke, who is from Bergen, Germany, backed up her recent SEC Freshman of the Week award by tallying 13 kills with a .379 hitting percentage. Georgia returns home on Oct. 27 to face LSU at the Ramsey Center.
