Georgia Volleyball Swept by San Diego State

LUBBOCK, Texas---Georgia dropped its third match of the Red Raider Round Up with a 3-0 (30-26, 30-24, 30-26) loss to San Diego State on Saturday.
The Bulldogs fall to .500 on the year at 4-4 while San Diego State improves to 5-3.
Alexandra Oquendo was Georgia's leader in kills with 18 and she added six blocks. Julia Petruschke had her fifth double-double of the year with 10 kills and 10 digs. Brooke Burlingame had 12 digs and Chelsea Young added 38 assists.
For the Aztecs, Melanie Greene had a match-high 20 kills and 13 digs and Aimie Cordeiro had a match-high 20 digs.
The meeting between the two teams was the first since 1986 and just the second all-time. San Diego State now leads the series 2-0, with both wins coming in three games.
Georgia returns to action next weekend in the Georgia Invitational. The Bulldogs will host Michigan on Friday, Sept. 16 at 7:30 p.m. and Georgia Tech on Sunday, Sept. 18 at 5 p.m. Georgia Tech and Michigan play on Saturday, Sept. 17 at 8 p.m. All matches will be played at the UGA Ramsey Center.
