Coach Felton Answers Your Questions

June 10, 2005

Q: Hello Coach! I'd like to know some of the out of conference opponents that we'll be taking on next season, specifically those coming to Stegeman. In addition, who are you working on for the future? Thanks and keep up the good work!
SCOTT WHITE - Grayson, Georgia

A: Thanks for your question, Scott. We are not finished with our schedule yet but we already have trips planned to Oregon State (in Portland) and Nevada along with home games versus Georgia Tech and Clemson. We are currently hard at work on our 2006-07 schedule where we are trying to schedule some home & home series with some of the most traditionally powerful programs in the country outside of the heavyweights we have in our league. We have had dialogue with North Carolina, UConn, Duke, Kansas, Maryland and UCLA to name a few. As we grow our program, we will be very aggressive with our scheduling.

Q: Since you have five(5) incoming freshmen next year (six(6) if Louis Williams doesn't jump to the NBA), which freshmen do you see making the greatest immediate impact on your team next year?
MATT HERRING - Loganville, Georgia

A: Matt, we have a unique situation at Georgia in that we have only 6 returning scholarship players and four of them are freshmen. With that in mind, all of our incoming freshmen have the unique opportunity of coming in and making a big impact. I have very high expectations for all of them. As to who makes the biggest contributions? As always, the players will decide that through their effort and performance everyday.
