Q: What do you value as the most important statistic when looking at a team's record? Secondly, what statistic do you look at most when ranking prospective recruits?

West Palm Beach, Fla. A: For a team, I look at their pitching first including ERA, opponent's batting average and the strikeout-to-walk ratio. For a player, we look at their academics plus for pitchers, the same as I mentioned for a team and for hitters if would be on-base percentage and home runs.
Q: I am going to be attending UGA in the fall of 2005 and was wondering when the walk-on tryouts would be for next season?

Q: You are my favorite coach and I love baseball. When I come see the Bulldogs play, do you hear me screaming in the stands?

Q: Why can't this year's team work with the lead late in games? I followed the first two games of the Ole Miss series. Good luck the rest of the season, and I hope you make it to the SEC and NCAA Tournaments.

Douglasville, Ga. A: We've got the right guys in there and now we just have to close it out like we did in the Sunday game at Ole Miss and Saturday game at Alabama. We've played well of late but the bottom is line we still have to win games to get to the postseason.
Q: The Bulldogs started off high in the rankings with a lot of potential. What will it take to get the team back in the polls, and is it too late?
