Track And Field Hosts Georgia Invitational This Weekend

ATHENS, Ga.----- Georgia Track and Field is set to host its second and final home meet of the year this weekend. The Georgia Invitational will take place all day on Sauturday, May 7, beginning at 11 a.m.

"With the meet coming in the midst of final exams, we will not have everyone competing," head coach Wayne Norton said. "This will be a small meet at which the athletes can work on improving consistency in preparation for the SEC meet next week."

In addition, the 2005 Georgia Track and Field seniors will be honored at the meet. Seniors on this year's squad include Krysha Bayley, LaRon Bennett, Ian Dickinson, Renata Foerst, Shaun Foster, Kierney Hiteshew, John Newell, Simon Ngata, Josh Reid, Andrell Roberts, Antonio Saunders, Brad Smith, Trevor Snyder and Mike Swope.
