Internal Discipline Imposed On Swain

ATHENS -------- Internal discipline will be imposed on University of Georgia senior defensive lineman Darrius Swain for his involvement in recent driver's license violations in Athens according to UGA head football coach Mark Richt.
Authorities have ordered Swain to serve 45 days in confinement and 40 hours of community service as a result of repeated driver's license violations. The internal discipline imposed could involve one or a combination of several types of punishment; however, he is not expected to have any game suspensions imposed according to Richt.
"With the time in confinement, Darrius is paying a heavy price for his license violations," said Richt. "Hopefully he has learned an important lesson."
