ATHENS, Ga.----- The University of Georgia Track and Field program has announced three more signees during the spring signing period.

Randy Curry, a transfer student from Wallace State Community College in Hanceville, Ala., is a sprinter and relay runner who has already achieved times that are competitive with the top NCAA Division I runners. He is a three-time Alabama State 6A champion in the 400 meters and is a two-time NJCAA national qualifier.

"Randy has already proven that he can be competitive in Division I athletics," head coach Wayne Norton said. "As he continues to improve, he could be one of the best in the SEC. He is a tough relay runner who should help us to qualify for NCAAs in the 4x100 and 4x400 meter relays."

Sean Cuevo hails from Yorktown High School in Yorktown Heights, N.Y., where he is the reigning New York state champion in the 55 meters. He is an accomplished sprinter at various distances including the 100 and 200 meters, and he excels in academics as well, having scored near perfect on the Scholastic Aptitude Test.

"Sean is a sprinter who has improved in the last year," Norton said. "If he continues to get better, he will be a good sprinter for us. Sean is also a scholar and a gentleman."

Finally, Georgia's sprint and mid-distance squads continue to get stronger with the addition of in-state native Jarrod Brown. Brown will graduate Newnan High School in Newnan, Ga., this spring and is already a top-10 performer at the Georgia 5A State Championships (5th in 400 meters, 6th in 800 meters).

"Jarrod should be able to give us some depth on the 4x400 meter relay," Norton said. His 800 meter experience indicates he has the strength to handle the intense college training."
