Bulldogs Fall To Tennessee, 78-68

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - Freshman guard Chris Lofton scored 20 points and junior guard Stanley Asumnu came off the bench for a career-high 14 points to lead Tennessee to a 78-68 victory over Georgia on Saturday night.

Scotter McFadgon added 12 points and Brandon Crump had 11 points and 12 rebounds for the Vols (13-16, 6-10 Southeastern Conference).

Georgia (8-19, 2-14) was led by Levi Stukes and Sundiata Gaines with 22 points each.

It was the regular-season finale for both teams.

Georgia plays Mississippi State on Thursday in the first round of the SEC Tournament in Atlanta. Tennessee plays Arkansas Thursday in the first round.
