Bulldogs Head To Augusta For Weekend Tourney

ATHENS, Ga. - All eyes will be on Augusta next week for The Masters, but the third-ranked Georgia men's golf team and several more of the nation's top squads will be in action there this weekend.
The Bulldogs will join 17 teams at Forest Hills Golf Club for the 27th installment of the Augusta State Invitational, which is sponsored by Administaff. Georgia and the other schools will play 36 holes on Saturday and 18 holes on Sunday.
Joining the Bulldogs and host Augusta State will be Alabama, Central Florida, Clemson, Duke, East Tennessee State, Georgia Southern, Minnesota, North Carolina, North Carolina State, North Florida, Notre Dame, South Carolina, Southern Cal, Toledo, Virginia Tech and Wake Forest.
Georgia coach Chris Haack will use a lineup of senior David Denham, juniors Kevin Kisner and Richard Scott, and sophomores Chris Kirk and Brendon Todd. Kirk leads the Bulldogs with a scoring average of 72.13.
