The Georgia equestrian team galloped to a narrow 1206.09-1189.7 victory on the road against South Carolina on Saturday afternoon in an exciting finish that came down to the final event.

"It was definitely a nerve racking day," Georgia head coach Meghan Boenig said.

The Bulldogs trailed by .35 points after three events, but Georgia's reiners performed under pressure, winning four of five rides, to close the day with a 293.04-275.6 victory on the event and the overall win. Junior Sarah Meier marked the largest spread of any reiner, defeating South Carolina's Rachel Sternoff 75.48-65.49.

"The pressure was really on the reiners," assoicate head coach Beth Bass said. "The whole team was behind them and cheering. Having the support of their teammates really put them over the edge."
