Here's are some of the most recent questions you've asked of David Perno, Georgia baseball's head coach!

Q: How is fall baseball going and any surprises so far?
multiple e-mails

A: We're wrapping up fall practice in the next few days with our annual World Series. It has been great, and we've got some high expectations. Our two new coaches, Roger Williams and Doug Sisson, have done a great job along with our newcomers and veterans. It's been a good blend and we like how the team is shaping up. We're excited about what we've seen from our pitching, our hitting and our defense.

Q: I have three sons that play baseball and was wondering if you could use an extra batboy for a game or this season?
Brian Wilkes
Cartersville, Ga.

A: We have a batboy program so please call Shirley Toney in the UGA Baseball Office for more information at (706) 542-7971.

Q: I was wondering what happened with a few players I went to school with including Chris Webb. I don't get to see much on Georgia sports because I'm stationed in Japan with the Navy. Thanks and good luck this season.
Michael Morgan
Springfield, Ga.
USS Kitty Hawk

A: First of all Michael thanks for your service to our country on the super carrier Kitty Hawk. This past year, Chris was pitching in the Independent League for the River City Rascals located in Missouri. He went 3-4 with a 5.37 ERA in 21 games including five starts.

Q: How does the team look this year and how do you think we'll fair against major opponents like South Carolina?
Robert Frix
Covington, Ga.
