Bobusic Advances to Final at Southern Intercollegiates

ATHENS, Ga. -- University of Georgia men¹s tennis player Strahinja Bobusic advanced to the finals of the championship division at the 36th annual Southern Intercollegiate Championships Sunday with a semifinal win over No. 2-seeded Franticek Babej of South Alabama (6-3, 7-5). ³Stracky² will play the final match Monday against Greg Oulette of Florida at 10:30 a.m. Due to the expectation of rain, all of Monday¹s matches will be played at the Lindsey Hopkins Indoor Courts.

Bobusic reached the semifinals by defeating the second, third, sixth and ninth-seeded players, including teammate Antonio Ruiz (No. 3) in the quarterfinals (3-6, 6-3, 7-6). Bobusic and Ruiz were the only Bulldogs left in singles play on Sunday.
