Annual G-Day Game Scheduled for Saturday, April 17

ATHENS-------The G-Day Game, the University of Georgia annual spring football contest, will take place at Sanford Stadium on Saturday, April 17, with kickoff slated for 2 p.m. Admission is $5 for adults and $2 for youth 18 and under. Holders of UGA ID, G-Club ID, or Letterman ID cards will be granted free admission. Tickets are available for purchase in person at the Butts-Mehre Heritage Hall the week of April 12-16 between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. or at the gate the day of the game.

Proceeds from the annual spring football game will benefit Safe Campuses Now, an Athens-based non-profit organization whose mission is crime awareness, education and prevention.

Previous recipients of the G-Day proceeds include Athens Child Abuse Council, Samaritan Counseling Center, Athens-Clarke County Mentor Program, the Athens Homeless Shelter, St. Mary's Hospital and the United Way of Northeast Georgia among others.
