ATHENS, Ga. - The Georgia football team held its final practice on Thursday in preparation for this weekends G-Day Game at Sanford Stadium.
The Bulldogs worked out for about 90 minutes in shorts in what was described as "an assignment day" by Coach Mark Richt.
Richt said he has been pleased with the Bulldogs' efforts this spring and that he expects a competitive game on Saturday. Kickoff is scheduled for 2 p.m. and the game will be televised by CSS-TV.
"I think the players are pretty excited about the game," Richt said. "We ought to have a good game. Even though we have some injuries, we've got plenty of players to participate."
One player who is not expected to play is All-America defensive end David Pollack.
"We've gotten tired of him destroying all the plays," Richt said with a laugh. "At least the offense will be able to get a play off."
