ATHENS - Alabama catcher Nick Richardson's two-run double broke a 4-4 tie en route to a 7-5 win for the Crimson Tide over the Bulldogs in front of a season-high crowd of 3,321 at Foley Field Saturday.

Alabama (15-6, 1-1 SEC) took advantage of four Georgia errors and seven walks to snap the Bulldogs (15-4, 1-1 SEC) four-game winning streak. Alabama senior Seth Johnson provided 5.2 innings of solid relief to pick up the win while Georgia redshirt freshman Josh McClaughin dropped to 1-1. Johnson surrendered just one run, a solo home run by freshman Josh Morris in the bottom of the ninth, to go with five strikeouts and two walks before giving way to Taylor Tankersley. The left-hander came on to record the final out for his second save.
