ATHENS, Ga. -- Georgia senior Rashad Wright hit 9-of-12 free throws to hold off Kentucky in the last two minutes of the Bulldogs 74-68 upset of the No. 8 Wildcats on Saturday afternoon at Stegeman Coliseum, with 10,523 in attendance.

For just the sixth time in 83 years Georgia (12-10, 4-7 SEC) has defeated Kentucky (17-4, 7-3 SEC) in consecutive games as they topped the then fifth-ranked Wildcats 65-57 in Lexington earlier this year. The Bulldogs last accomplished the feat in 2002.

Senior Damien Wilkins tipped in a rebound to give Georgia its largest lead of the game at nine points with 1:24 remaining before he fouled out 20 seconds later with 14 points on the afternoon. Kentucky then went on a late run in which they managed to cut the lead to four points with just seven seconds remaining, despite sending Wright to the line five times. Wright, however, would drain his final two free throws with five seconds left to finish the game with 14 points and lift Georgia to the final margin of 74-68.
