ATHENS -- The Georgia men's basketball team fell to 0-2 Friday night, giving up a 58-47 decision to Nevada (3-0) at Stegeman Coliseum.
Freshman guard Sundiata Gaines matched his debut outing on Tuesday night against Western Kentucky to lead the Bulldogs with 17 points while no other Bulldog broke into double figures. Georgia shot just over 17 percent from the field in the first half, but improved to 43.5 percent in the second half.
"We shot a lot better in the second half," Georgia head coach Dennis Felton said. "We got back to being more persistent and doing what we needed to do to take quality shots. We showed our youth in the first half by taking too many quick shots."
