WINDERMERE, Fla. -- The third-ranked Georgia men's golf team bolted to the lead after two rounds on Monday at the inaugural Isleworth Collegiate Invitational.

The Bulldogs fired rounds of 1-under 287 and 2-over 290 for a total of 1-over 577. Georgia will enter Tuesday's final round with a two-shot lead over Georgia Tech and a five-shot advantage over Oklahoma State.

"It's good for us to get off to a good start," Georgia coach Chris Haack said. "The guys played very well and showed a lot of confidence in the way they attacked the golf course. The key now, of course, is to close strong in the third round. Today's play should help us come out with a lot of confidence."

Sophomore Chris Kirk was the model of consistency on Monday as he finished at 6-under 138 with consecutive rounds of 69. Kirk is all alone in fourth place, but he is just one stroke behind tri-leaders Roberto Castro of Georgia Tech, Pablo Martin of Oklahoma State and Matt Every of Florida.
