UGA Men's Golf Team In Ninth Place

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. --- The fifth-ranked Georgia men's golf team stands tied for ninth place after nearly two rounds of the Bank of Tennessee Intercollegiate.

Play was halted on Saturday night in the second round due to darkness with six teams, including the Bulldogs, playing the final few holes. The second round will be completed Sunday morning, following by the final round.

The Bulldogs fired a 1-over-par 289 in the first round Saturday morning, but they were at 11-over as they tried to get in the last three holes. Florida is the tournament leader at 6-under 570, the only total under par.

Only two Bulldogs, junior David Denham and sophomore Richard Scott, completed the second round. Denham is tied for 17th place at 1-over 144 after carding rounds of 71-73. Scott is at 3-over 147 following tallies of 72-75.

Sophomore Kevin Kisner opened with a 1-under 71, followed by freshman Brendon Todd at 3-over 75 and junior Christo Greyling at 12-over 84. Each is 3-over with three holes left in the second round.
