ATHENS -- Georgia's frustrating Southeastern Conference start continued Friday, falling 4-3 to ninth-ranked Auburn in 13 innings.

The Tigers (23-5, 6-1 SEC) got a pair of clutch two-out run-scoring singles from junior centerfielder Javon Moran that proved to be the difference as the Bulldogs (11-12, 0-7) have now dropped eight straight including their first seven in the SEC.

Georgia wasted a splendid pitching performance by sophomore Sean Ruthven as he set career-highs going 10 innings and striking out 11 in front of a crowd of 2,445 at Foley Field. However, it was Auburn freshman Chris Dennis who stole the show as he pitched out of a bases-loaded, nobody out situation in the 12th.

The Bulldogs loaded the bases on a walk and a pair of bunt singles. Then, Dennis struck out junior Lee Mitchell and David Coffey and then got Jon Armitage to fly out to send it to the 13th.
