GAME: No. 5 Georgia (20-9) vs. No. 4 Rutgers (21-7).

REGIONAL: Midwest, second round.

TIME: Monday, 7 p.m. EST.

SITE: Stegeman Coliseum; Athens, Ga.

Georgia hopes its height advantage can offset Rutgers' quickness, as Christi Thomas and the Lady Bulldogs meet the athletic Scarlet Knights.

Thomas, a 6-foot-5 junior center, scored a career-high 31 points and had eight rebounds as fifth-seeded Georgia breezed past No. 12 Charlotte 80-61 on Saturday.

Georgia coach Andy Landers said despite Thomas' huge night, the entire team deserved credit for the win.

"I thought our team had a terrific effort," he said. "I understand big numbers, but Christi didn't play any better than Jessica (Pierce) or anybody else. I'll tell you this, we won't be running any laps later tonight."

Pierce had 12 points off the bench, and point guard Alexis Kendrick added 10.
