LAKE CHARLES, LA. -- Georgia used a four-run eighth inning to rally past Oral Roberts 7-6 Sunday at the Lake Area Classic.

The Bulldogs (6-4) trailed 6-2 heading into the seventh when the mounted a two-out rally. In fact, Georgia scored all seven of its runs with two outs Sunday.

Down 6-3 with two outs in the eight, Georgia began its comeback. David Coffey popped up to shallow left field, and it fell in for a base hit. Justin McClain followed with an infield single. Third baseman Lee Mitchell (2-3, 3 RBI) smashed a line drive that bounced off the chest of third baseman Scott Modeste and bounded into left field, resulting in a two-run double to make it 6-5. The Eagles turned to Nick Gor in relief of Dallas Martin. Jon Armitage hit a slow roller to Modeste who gloved it but then threw it over the head of first baseman Andy Hargove, allowing Mitchell to score as Armitage took second. Then, designated hitter Justin Holmes (2-4, 2 RBI) delivered a bloop double to right, scoring Armitage for a 7-6 lead.
