TALLAHASSEE, Fla.----The No. 17 Georgia Bulldog Softball team split its first two games in its first day of competition at the Seminole Classic, losing the first game to Oregon 3-2 in 12 innings and defeating Ninth-ranked Florida State 5-4 in eight innings in the second game. The Bulldogs will play two more games in the Seminole Classic tomorrow.
Michelle Green was the hero against Florida State taking the win, coming in for Lacey Gardner in the second inning. Green pitched six innings against the Seminoles after she had pitched 12 innings in the first game.
"I didn't worry about Green at all. She came back and did a good job this afternoon," said Georgia head coach Lu Harris-Champer. "She pitched great [against FSU] with the lead."
