Braxton suspended from Lady Bulldogs

Athens, Ga. --- Kara Braxton, a 6-6, sophomore forward from Jackson, Mich., has been suspended from the Georgia Lady Bulldog basketball team for the remainder of the 2002-03 season head coach Andy Landers announced on Wednesday.

"Obviously, I'm very disappointed we're having to take this action due to Kara's repeated violation of our team policies," Landers said. "Her inability to adhere to those policies and lack of response in rectifying the situation have brought this about. It's become a distraction we can do without."

Braxton was suspended twice earlier this season for violation of team policies -- against Middle Tennessee State on Dec. 30 and versus Auburn on Feb. 9.
