ATHENS, Ga.----The Georgia volleyball team made quick work of LSU in a 3-0 (30-19, 30-21, 30-23) win on Friday night at the Ramsey Center.
The Bulldogs (15-10, 8-5) finished with a .409 hitting percentage, their highest since a 3-0 win over Furman on Sept. 20. Julia Petruschke and Alexandra Oquendo led Georgia with 14 and 13 kills, respectively, and Margot Wallace dished out 37 assists.
Wallace added five kills in seven attack attempts at the net, and Oquendo tied her season high with eight total blocks.
"It was a great team effort," said head coach Mary Buczek. "We had great set distribution. Margot did a great job in getting our hitters one-on-one and she was an offensive threat. She made good choices and that's why our hitting percentage looks this way."
Regan Hood led LSU (11-15, 6-7) with 13 kills.
The Bulldogs return to action on Sunday with a match against Arkansas at 1 p.m. EST at the Ramsey Center. The Razorbacks (19-5, 12-1) lead the Western Division, but dropped a 3-0 match at No. 3 Florida on Friday night.
