SE All-Stars Feature Local Talent
Georgia will complete its two-game exhibition schedule this Friday night when the Bulldogs take on the Atlanta-based Southeastern All-Stars. Tipoff at Stegeman Coliseum is 7:00 p.m. and there is no admission charge.

The Georgia contest will be the fifth game in as many nights for Southeastern, which plays Georgia Tech, Ole Miss, New Orleans and Indiana before coming to Athens. The squad is coached by former Georgia letterman Reggie Tinch and another ex-Bulldog, guard Adrian Jones, is a small forward on the roster. Other prominent local players on the roster include former Georgia State stars Shernard Long and Darryl Cooper.

The Bulldogs open the regular season the following Friday night, Nov. 21, against Southern Conference foe Western Carolina.

Dogs Survive OT Game vs. Team Nike
Georgia was extended beyond regulation time in its exhibition opener, a 79-78 win over Team Nike last Friday night in Athens. The outcome wasn't decided until Buzz Wehunt made the first of two foul shots with eight-tenths of a second left in overtime. Wehunt missed the second try intentionally and the visitors were unable to get off a timely shot.
