Athens, GA --- The Georgia Bulldogs final workout leading up to tomorrow's G-Day game allowed the "Red" and "Black" teams to practice separately but not secretly. The squads held sessions on adjoining fields for approximately an hour on Friday afternoon.

"I think we're ready," said Brian VanGorder, the Bulldogs' defensive coordinator and head coach of the Black team. "We wanted to get organized with special teams, even though those will be controlled situations, and we concentrated some on substitutions, since the numbers are low. We also want to make sure we protect ourselves versus the trick plays I'm sure we'll see."

Offensive coordinator Neil Callaway, the head coach of the Red team, has already let one such wrinkle out of the bag.

"I'll tell you right now, we're going to play Bruce (Thornton) at tailback," Callaway said. "He won't play there the whole time, but he'll play there a lot."
