2002 Record: 35-5 Overall, 7-5 SEC

Notes for the Week
Georgia continues to pace the SEC's Eastern Division with a 7-5 conference mark entering this week's play.

Kim Wendland is tops in the league with a .464 batting average and her 16 extra-base hits is third on the team.

Nicole Barber stole her 45 consecutive base this weekend against Mississippi State, making her No. 8 on the NCAA's all-time list for consecutive successful stolen bases.

Barber is 34-for-34 in steals this season.

With 122 steals so far in 2002 the Bulldogs need just 12 more to reach their total of a year ago and just 20 more to reach LSU's total of 142 steals in 2000 which is the SEC team record for steals in a season. The Bulldogs have lost back-to-back games for just the second time this season. The last time Georgia lost two straight the club went on a 10-game winning streak.
