Georgia Travels to Florida

The Georgia track and field team travels to Gainesville, Fla., this weekend for the Florida Relays at UF's Percy Beard Track and Field Complex, March 27-30. Competition begins with the decathlon and pentathlon Wednesday and Thursday. The men's and women's 3,000 meter steeplechase and 5,000 meter run are scheduled for Thursday evening. A full slate of field events and individual and relay running events are scheduled for Friday and Saturday. A link to the complete schedule and results is available at georgiadogs.com.

Traditionally one of the biggest high school and college meets in the country, the 2002 Florida Relays will feature competitors from several of the top collegiate teams (in addition to Georgia) including Florida, Florida State, Georgetown, Georgia Tech, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa State, Miami, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Villanova and Wisconsin, along with numerous other colleges and universities.
