Lady Dogs to Premier Players host exhibition opener on Friday
Georgia's Lady Bulldogs will unofficially open their 2002-03 campaign this Friday night when they host Premier Players at Stegeman Coliseum.

That exhibition matchup is the first half of a doubleheader which also features the Georgia men taking on the Atlanta-based Southeastern All-Star at 8:00, or 25 minutes following the conclusion of the Lady Dogs' game.

"This should be a good challenge for our basketball team as it continues to get ready to play our first game," head coach Andy Landers said. "It should show us what we need to do and work on before the season."

Premier Players is a traveling team featuring several WNBA players, including former Lady Bulldog La'Keshia Frett. Frett, who was a two-time All-American and four-time All-SEC performer for Georgia from 1994-97, now plays for the Sacramento Monarchs.
