Opener Follows 4 Weeks of Practice
Georgia opens the 2002-03 season for real this Friday with an exhibition matchup against the Atlanta-based Southeastern All-Stars. Tipoff is scheduled for approximately 8:00 or at least 25 minutes after the conclusion of the women's exhibition game against Premier Players, which tips at 6:00 p.m.
The Bulldogs will have begun practice exactly four weeks to the day before the Southeastern All-Stars game. Georgia will resume workouts the next day in preparation for its season opener the next Friday against Texas in New York City.
BBall Photo Day Coincides With Exhibition Games
Georgia fans can meet their favorite basketball players and coaches this Friday night in conjunction with the exhibition doubleheader at Stegeman Coliseum. The Bulldogs and Lady Bulldogs will take part in their annual fans' Picture Day, greeting fans and signing autographs.
The Stegeman Coliseum doors open at 5:00 p.m. this Friday, with the Georgia Lady Bulldogs playing Premier Players at 6:00. During the women's game, the Georgia men's team will be available for autographs in the handicapped seating sections atop the lower level. The women's team will sign autographs during the first half of the men's game against the Southeastern All-Stars.
