Ole Miss and Mississippi State come to Athens just two weeks after Georgia defeated both schools on the opening weekend of SEC play in Mississippi.
The Bulldogs won both matches 3-1, to start the conference season at 2-0 for the first time since 1998.
Against Mississippi State Julia Petruschke led all Dogs with 25 kills and tied for the team high with 12 digs (Metz). Luresa Forsythe added 15 kills and 11 digs and Margot Wallace had 54 assists.
As a team Georgia hit for a .270 percentage against MSU and had a season-high 13 service aces.
In Oxford, Forsythe was Georgia's leader on offense with 17 kills. Petruschke led with 17 digs, while Margot Wallace had 55 assists. Alexandra Oquendo had six block assists in her second night of action.
Georgia's 13.0 blocks against the Rebels were fourth on the season-high list.
Georgia Program Nearing Milestone
Georgia's 12-7 record has the program's overall record just one win shy of the 600 mark. Bulldog volleyball is 599-293 (.672) since 1978.
Georgia ranks second among SEC schools in all-time wins (LSU, 677) and third in winning percentage (Florida, .793; Arkansas, .693).
Bulldogs Still Playing to Five
The Bulldogs have now played six five-game matches this season after falling 3-2 to Tennessee on Sunday. Georgia is 3-3 in five-game matches this season and 8-4 since 2000.
