Georgia Contingent Going to California

Several members of the Georgia women's tennis team will open the fall tournament season in Pacific Palisades, Calif., this week at the Riviera/ITA All-American Championship from Oct. 8-13.

Junior Agata Cioroch, who is preseason ranked third, will be the second seed in the main draw which begins Oct. 10. Senior Lori Grey is on the alternate list for qualifying singles which gets started on Wednesday. However, the Cioroch/Grey team, preseason ranked sixth, is in the main draw of the doubles.

Senior Anne Nguyen, preseason ranked No. 32, will participate in the singles qualifying Wednesday while the Tina Hojnik/Douglas Wink duo, preseason ranked No. 30, will participate in the doubles qualifying. Grey is the only player to see action so far this season as she reached the quarterfinals of the Gator Fall Classic in Gainesville, Fla., this past weekend.
