Georgia Heads to Nebraska and Kentucky

The Georgia track and field squads will split and compete at both the adidas Invitational in Lincoln, Neb. and Rod McCravy Memorial in Lexington, Ky. this weekend. Both meets will be held Feb. 1-2.

Three UGA Athletes Continue to Win

Senior David Lemen, junior Panagiotis Mavraganis and freshman Krysha Bayley each posted individual wins for the second straight meet.

Lemen won the pole vault for the second meet in a row, while also adding a win in the long jump at the SEC East meet. Mavraganis and Bayley repeated wins in the weight throw and long jump, respectively.

NCAA Qualifying

Lemen, Bayley, Mavraganis and sophomore Corrie Drakulich matched or improved their NCAA provisional qualifying marks at the SEC East meet. Lemen matched his own school indoor record and season-best with a mark of 17'4.50" in the pole vault. Mavraganis improved his provisional status with a career-best 64'1.25" in the weight throw. Bayley improved her provisional qualifying status with a career-best of 20'9.25" in the long jump. Drakulich matched her career-best and improved her provisional status with a mark of 12'10.25".

The women's 4x400 meter relay squad of Bayley, sophomore Sonja Collins, junior Marie Woodward and senior Aisha Tull posted a provisional mark for the first time this season with a time of 3:42.28.
