Bulldogs End Successful Season With Impressive Streak

Georgia wrapped up the most impressive season in the program's history on Sunday, with a 2-0 win over rival Tennessee. The series win over the Vols gives the Bulldogs a final record of 33-26 overall and 9-18 in the conference.
At Auburn on Sunday, the Tigers defeated LSU in game three of their series, knocking the Bulldogs out of the No. 8 seed in the SEC tournament.
Georgia closed the season winning 12 of its last 14 games, including series sweeps over Georgia Tech and Florida and a 2-1 series win over Tennessee. In that late-season run, the Bulldogs hit .305 as a team, with Nicole Barber leading the way at .532. Alyssa Mauro hit .405 with two home runs and two triples during the successful stretch, and Julie Milner was .370 at the plate with 14 RBI. Julie Raiskums was the other Bulldog over .300 late in the season, hitting .317 with three extra-base hits.
Pitcher Nichole Urban was 8-1 in Georgia's final 14 games, pitching two shutouts and eight complete games.
