Tina Taylor's Diary
December 11, 2001 | Women's Basketball
Dec. 11, 2001
H-E-L-L-O, my name is Tina Taylor, but everyone calls me either Princess or Lil Tina. I am from Longview, TX, which is at the eastern part of Texas, close to Louisiana. I am a red shirt sophomore on the court, and I am a junior in the classroom. I intend to graduate next fall with my bachelors in accounting. Since I will be playing here two more years, I am going to pursue my master's in accounting, which should only take one more year after I get my bachelors.
Well, it is final exam week, and I am stressed out. I have a total of five exams this week, which I have had to study for. It has been hard finding time to study for each exam equally. My hardest tests are on Tuesday and Friday at eight in the morning, and of course they are my accounting tests. I have been up to at least one o'clock each morning studying for one of my exams. I am the type of person that really doesn't mind studying. To me, school is the most important thing. My whole life is based on how well I do in school because my future depends on it. For me to be a successful accountant, I have to make the grades to get where I want to go. Although basketball is great and I love it, it can only take me so far in life. Right now, my life is not invested in how well I do in basketball, but it is invested in an opportunity to learn and find who I am. My mom would love that last statement because she always tells me that.
I have to go because my first test is in a couple of hours. Could all of you people that read this diary please pray for me this week? God bless you all, and I hope that yall have a great holiday season.
Peace out,
Lil T from the big TX
